Job Description:

Position: Production Manager
Location: Khapoli
Industry: Plastic Manufacturing

Experience Required:

12–15 years of relevant experience

Mandatory experience in plastic extrusion processes

Key Requirements:

Strong knowledge of extrusion technology and plastic processing

Experience in product development and lifecycle management

• Plan, schedule, and execute daily production to meet targets.
• Oversee setup, parameter setting, and operation of extrusion machinery (e.g., single/twin screw extruders for PVC, HDPE, PP, etc.).
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, thickness, speed) for consistent quality.
• Troubleshoot process issues, breakdowns, and quality deviations in real-time.
• Manage raw material (polymer) handling, inventory, and consumption.
• Optimize machine utilization and minimize downtime. 

• Implement and enforce Quality Control (QC) standards and procedures.
• Conduct process checks and ensure adherence to product specifications (e.g., BIS standards for pipes).
• Manage waste reduction and control scrap levels.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations (HSE). 

• Lead, train, and develop a team of operators, technicians, and checkers.
• Manage manpower allocation and performance.
• Foster a "safety first" culture and ensure good housekeeping on the shop floor. 

• Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen, OEE).
• Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Participate in new product development trials and process modifications. 

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports (MIS).
• Coordinate with Maintenance, QC, Stores, Sales, and PPC departments. 

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Plastics/Polymer/Mechanical Engineering or Diploma.
• Experience: Proven experience in plastic extrusion (pipes, sheets, films).
• Technical Skills: Expertise in extrusion machinery, material handling (HDPE, PVC, PP), process control, and troubleshooting.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge: PPC, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems (ISO).
