Occupational First Aid Provider, Anantpur
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Statutory & Compliance (Factories Act):
• Maintain First Aid Centre as per Section 45 of the Factories Act
• Provide immediate medical care for:
• Workplace injuries
• Snake bites and insect bites
• Cold burns, frostbite
• Oxygen deficiency / hypoxia incidents
• Administer injections and medications as per doctor’s standing orders /
medical protocol
• Maintain statutory medical records, injury logs, treatment and injection
registers
• Support medical surveillance for hazardous processes
ISO 45001 & OHS Responsibilities:
• Support Emergency Preparedness & Response activities, including:
• Snake-bite emergency scenarios
• Medical emergency drills
• Participate in mock drills, emergency simulations, and evacuation
drills
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action support
• Contribute to occupational health monitoring and performance evaluation
Medical Room Management:
• Maintain Occupational Health Centre (OHC)
• Ensure availability and readiness of:
• First aid kits
• Snake-bite kits (as applicable)
• Emergency medicines and injections
• Oxygen cylinders / AED
• Monitor storage conditions, expiry, and cold-chain requirements for
injections
Coordination & Awareness:
• Coordinate with nearby hospitals for anti-snake venom (ASV) support and
emergency referrals
• Support HSE team in health awareness programs and toolbox talks
• Maintain confidentiality of medical and treatment records
• Knowledge of snake-bite first aid and emergency response protocol
• Safe administration of injections and emergency medications
• Understanding of cryogenic hazards and cold-related injuries
• Calm and effective response during medical emergencies
• Good communication and documentation skills
Working Conditions
• Industrial / hazardous test facility (possible outdoor exposure)
• General Shift and on-call support
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
• 1–3 years’ experience in Industrial / Occupational Health Centre - Factory,
hazardous process industry,
• Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing
• Valid State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council Registration
• First Aid & Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory)
• Training in emergency injections and snake-bite first response (preferred)
