Job Description:

Role Overview: We are building reusable, all liquid launcher powered by best-in-class 80ton Astrobase FFSC engine at the fastest pace globally.

As Lead Launcher Assembly, you will own end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of the integration and validation of the complete Vehicle system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assembly Leadership • Lead full Vehicle assembly operations, spanning subcomponent integration through final launcher build and handoff. • Develop and continuously improve assembly strategies, workflows, and build sequences for high-reliability Vehicle systems. • Define, build, and maintain critical assembly infrastructure — including cleanrooms, precision workbenches, surface treatment equipment, lifting/handling rigs, and contamination-controlled storage. • Commission and own proof and leak test rigs, ensuring full readiness ahead of validation campaigns. • Coordinate closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering to align on interfaces, build quality, and schedules. • Foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability across the assembly floor.

2. Process & Quality Control • Author and enforce Integration Work Instructions (IWIs), torque and seal procedures, and cleanliness protocols tailored to oxygen–methane propulsion systems. • Establish and monitor Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) checkpoints across fluid plumbing and mechanical integration. • Lead non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) closure.

3. Integration for Test • Lead stages buildup for static fire campaigns, including sensor installation, fluid line routing, and test interface integration. • Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and formal engine acceptance processes. Qualifications •

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a closely related discipline). • Hands-on experience commissioning and operating proof pressure and leak test rigs. • Strong working knowledge of GD&T, torque/tension practices, and vibration/thermal management for propulsion fluid lines. • Familiarity with aerospace quality frameworks (AS9100, NADCAP) and applicable safety standards. • Proven ability to execute in a fast-paced, iterative development environment. Key Attributes • Meticulous attention to detail with a first-time-right mindset. • Strong leadership and mentoring capability across cross-disciplinary teams — technicians and fluid systems engineers. • Equally comfortable on the integration floor and in structured process documentation environments. • Proactive problem solver who thrives under aggressive development timelines. • Genuine passion for spaceflight and advancing propulsion technology.
