Asset Management / O&M Engineer- Manama Bahrain

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day O&M activities for rooftop solar PV plants across multiple client locations.
• Monitor plant performance, generation, availability, PR and other key operational KPIs.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical, safety and operational issues.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot issues related to solar modules, inverters, LT/HT systems, SCADA, monitoring systems and other Balance of System (BoS) components.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and service partners for breakdowns, repairs and maintenance activities.
• Track plant downtime, breakdowns and root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and minimize generation losses.
• Maintain O&M records, maintenance schedules, equipment history and site documentation.
• Prepare periodic plant performance and O&M reports for internal management and clients.
• Monitor compliance with contractual O&M obligations and agreed service-level requirements.
• Coordinate with clients for site access, maintenance activities, shutdowns and other operational requirements.
• Support performance analysis and identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and asset availability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements, site safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
• Maintain adequate inventory of critical spares and coordinate procurement/replacement as required.
• Support warranty claims and follow up with equipment manufacturers/OEMs.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and tracking of O&M-related operating expenses.
• Travel regularly to client sites across Bahrain as required.
