Job Description (JD) for Sales Officer – Paints Division
Job Title - Sales Officer / Sales Executive
Reporting To: Area Manager
Jobs Reporting Into: None
Department: Paint Sales
Location / Unit: Pan India

Job Purpose:

The position is that of frontline sales personnel who would primarily be responsible for achieving targeted sales of the company’s range of products in the assigned territory through identification, nurturing and management of projects, dealer network and stakeholders comprising of contractors & painters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales of Company’s range of products in the assigned territory and achieve agreed target
  • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly sales plans for the territory
  • Ensure payment collections as per company policy
  • Expand and manage project sales funnel either directly or through contractors or dealers
  • Enrol, nurture and incentivize Contractors either directly or through dealers
  • Expand dealer network and cultivate their clientele (contractors and painters)
  • Plan and organize product awareness meets and promotional activation for Dealers, Contractors and Painters; ensure effective implementation of promotional schemes
  • Coordinate with Depots / C and FAs for order fulfilment and timely material service
  • Prepare and share MIS Reports as required; track and report competition moves

Role Requirements / Specifications:

Functional Competencies:

  • Product Knowledge, including application knowledge

Educational Qualifications:

  • Essential: Full time graduate degree (BSc (MPC), BCom, BBA) or Full time Diploma in Engineering
  • Preferred: MBA / PGDM in Sales and Marketing

Previous Experience:

  • Essential: 2 – 5 years experience (+ / - 1 year) in sales function in a similar / adjacent industry
  • Preferred: 2 – 3 years experience in the Paints industry

Other Requirements:

  • The job requires extensive travelling
  • The job is transferable in nature, usually within the region
  • The person should be presentable and self-confident
