Role Description
Responsible for Quality Assurance of Sanitaryware-Ceramics and Flushing systems including Cisterns and allied categories
Primary Responsibilities
Quality Control
• Drive test methods and inspection processes to ensure adherence to specifications based on standards and best practices in the industry.
• Monthly reporting and analysis of rejection levels with root cause and identify action areas to ensure early detection and reduction in rejections to enable productivity.
• Conducting Process audits across vendor locations on weekly/monthly basis Customer Complaint
• Providing support to customer service team wherever required to enable timely resolution of the complaint.
• Analysis of customer complaints, identifying trends and arriving at action plan for elimination.
• Root cause analysis based on a comprehensive check of factors attributable to manufacturing/ usage/installation etc.
• Implementation of Corrective and Preventive action to eliminate complaints considering all attributable causes.
• Field visits to understand issue with reference to site conditions.
New product validation and testing
• Validation of new products prior to introduction/ development of alternates.
• Preparing and implementing additions. / Changes in inspection and testing as required.
• Packaging development and improvement to eliminate damages during transit and storage.
Vendor development
• Evaluation of proposed vendors from with respect to infrastructure and capability to provide consistency in quality.
• Onboarding new vendors on the quality systems and processes.
• Audit at monthly level and publishing Quality Score.
Spares definition and management
• Identifying spare parts required for efficient complaint resolution and reducing cost of poor quality.
• Definition of spares and ensuring availability for service in coordination with purchase and planning teams.
• Ensuring implementation of improvements done in FG across spares available with service team to ensure no repeated complaints.
Role Requirements
Qualification Essential
• Diploma in Mechanical /Industrial Engineering/ Ceramic Technology BTech will be an added advantage.
Previous Experience Essential
• 5 + years of experience of working with reputed players in Sanitaryware
industry, quality department.
Functional Competencies
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing and quality processes for Sanitaryware and Cisterns.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
Behavioural Competencies
• Good Communication skills
• Knowledge of Gujarati would be an added advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional team.
