Job Description
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible for leading the academic excellence
strategy and implementation across the MLZS school network nationwide. The National Academic Head ensures
delivery of quality education aligned with CBSE norms, SQAAF standards, and the MLZS brand philosophy. The
role involves managing a team of Regional School Directors and Cluster Academic Leaders to ensure curriculum
execution, academic innovation, faculty development, compliance, and student achievement across the chain of
schools. The position is central to driving academic transformation, school readiness, and holistic student
outcomes across the MLZS ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:
 Develop and drive the national academic vision and curriculum roadmap aligned with CBSE standards and MLZS
pedagogy
 Lead a team of Regional School Directors and Cluster Academic Leads to ensure excellence in academic delivery
across all schools
 Oversee curriculum design, periodic content upgrades, integration of digital tools, and NEP alignment
 Ensure robust systems for academic audits, lesson observations, faculty evaluations, and student assessments
 Monitor implementation of SQAAF, CBSE affiliation readiness, and regulatory compliance across the network
 Drive continuous professional development for school leadership teams, principals, and teachers through master
training, mentoring, and certification programs
 Provide strategic academic support in setting up new schools including curriculum orientation, staffing, and
academic infrastructure
 Lead parent and stakeholder engagement initiatives from an academic perspective to promote satisfaction and
retention
 Collaborate with cross-functional departments—Business, Operations, Marketing, and IT—to integrate academic
priorities into broader organizational goals
 Use data analytics and MIS reports to track academic performance metrics, teacher efficiency, and school-wise
academic health
