Job Description:

Site Overview:

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for sheet metal forming, fabrication, machining, NDT, chemical coatings, and heat treatment to ensure high-quality precision products.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap requirements. 
  • Utilize CAD software such as Unigraphics and AutoCAD to design and modify tools, fixtures, and manufacturing layouts.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise and accurate product specifications.
  • Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor and deliver on business KPIs and metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience into sheet metal forming, fabrication, machining, NDT, chemical coatings, and heat treatment to ensure high-quality precision products. Hands on experience into Auto CAD & Unigraphics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with 3 years minimum in the aerospace industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including Unigraphics and AutoCAD.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in NPI Project Management
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints
