Job Description – Team Member (Stores)
Location: Worli Head Office, Mumbai
Department: Projects
Role Purpose:
The Team Member (DM/ Manager) – Stores will be responsible for overseeing and governing end-to-end store management activities across all project sites (Solar/Wind). The role will be based at the Worli HO and will act as the central control point for material management, stock governance, process compliance, and coordination with site store teams to ensure smooth material flow and accurate inventory management across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Governance and Compliance
Implement and monitor the standard store management processes across all project sites.
Ensure adherence to policies related to GRN, material issuance, storage, scrap disposal, and documentation.
Conduct periodic remote audits and coordinate physical audits at sites.
Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in all site store areas.
2. Inventory Management and Control
Maintain centralized oversight of project-wise inventory levels, stock movement, and material utilization.
Track slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory and drive timely actions.
Monitor consumption patterns and ensure correct posting of material in SAP/MM.
Review and validate stock reports, reconciliations, and store MIS shared by site teams.
3. SAP & System Management
Ensure accurate data entry and documentation within SAP for all store transactions.
Support sites on SAP-related issues for GRN, reservation, material issuance, and stock reconciliation.
Work with SCM, Finance, and Projects teams to improve system accuracy and reporting dashboards.
4. Coordination with Project Sites
Act as the coordination bridge between HO and site storekeepers.
Support material planning, issue resolution, and operational requirements of each project site.
Track and follow up on material dispatches, deliveries, and storage compliance with project teams and vendors.
5. Vendor & Logistics Support
Coordinate with logistics partners and vendors for timely material delivery to sites.
Track transit materials and ensure GRN is completed on time.
Handle vendor queries related to material acknowledgement, shortages, or damages.
6. Reporting & MIS
Prepare weekly/monthly MIS on inventory, stock status, consumption, deviations, and compliance points.
Highlight risks, shortages, and critical stocks to SCM and Project Leadership.
Provide accurate inventory data for various audits (internal/external).
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of project store operations (preferably in Solar/Wind EPC or O&M).
Hands-on experience in SAP MM Module is mandatory.
Knowledge of material handling, warehousing standards, and safety practices.
Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Engineering or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
6–12 years of experience in store/material management, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
Experience managing multi-site or large-scale project stores will be an added advantage.
Work Mode:
Based at Worli HO, with periodic visits to project sites as per business requirement.
