Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AGM/DGM – CMAS and SCADA to lead centralized performance analytics, CMAS governance, and SCADA reliability across Solar & Wind assets.

This is a strategic and techno-functional leadership role, with CMAS as the core focus, responsible for driving data-driven performance optimization, digital monitoring frameworks, and portfolio-level insights.
The role will ensure high data integrity, system reliability, and actionable intelligence to maximise generation and minimise losses across the renewable portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. CMAS Strategy, Governance & Performance Leadership (Primary Focus)
 Lead CMAS platform governance, including KPI frameworks, data models, and performance standards.
 Drive portfolio-level performance analytics, identifying trends, loss drivers, and optimization opportunities.
 Establish and standardize PR, availability, curtailment, and loss tracking methodologies.
 Lead root cause analysis frameworks and ensure closure of high-impact performance issues.
 Enable predictive and proactive performance monitoring through advanced analytics.

2. CMAS Configuration, Architecture & Data Integrity
 Own end-to-end CMAS architecture including tag structures, alarm philosophy, and KPI hierarchy.
 Ensure 100% data accuracy, consistency, and timestamp synchronization across all assets.
 Govern system changes, upgrades, and scalability while maintaining platform stability.
 Institutionalize data validation protocols and system health monitoring frameworks.

 Drive standardization across multi-OEM and multi-technology platforms.

3. Digital Reporting, Analytics & Automation
 Lead development of advanced dashboards, automated reporting systems, and analytics tools.
 Provide executive-level insights for leadership on portfolio performance and risks.
 Drive adoption of digital tools for real-time monitoring and decision- making.
 Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on analytics insights.

4. SCADA Reliability & Integration Oversight (Supporting Focus)
 Ensure high SCADA uptime, communication reliability, and system availability.
 Oversee integration of SCADA with CMAS, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow.
 Guide teams in resolving communication issues across OPC, Modbus, APIs, FTP.
 Review SCADA system architecture, redundancy, and cyber-security alignment.
 Drive OEM performance accountability for SCADA uptime and issue resolution.

5. Alarm Management, Operational Excellence & Decision Support
 Define and standardize alarm philosophy, prioritization, and escalation matrix.
 Enable faster fault visibility and remote diagnostics for O and M teams.
 Ensure accurate event capture and mapping between SCADA and CMAS.
 Support O and M teams in reducing downtime and improving asset performance.

6. Stakeholder Management & Compliance

 Collaborate with O and M, SCADA, OEMs, IT, Cybersecurity, and Performance teams.
 Ensure compliance with RLDC/SLDC, telemetry, DSM, and regulatory requirements.
 Lead cross-functional alignment on data governance, system upgrades, and integrations.
 Support audits by ensuring robust documentation and traceability of data systems.

7. Financial Impact & Risk Management
 Evaluate revenue impact of performance losses and downtime.
 Identify and mitigate risks related to grid curtailment, equipment failure, and data gaps.
 Drive initiatives to maximize generation, optimize cost, and improve asset valuation.

Job Context
This role is part of the Central O and M Performance & Digital Team, acting as a bridge between operational data (SCADA) and business intelligence (CMAS).
The incumbent will play a key role in shaping the organization's digital performance monitoring strategy, ensuring scalable, reliable, and insight-driven operations across Solar & Wind assets.

Major Challenges
1. Managing data consistency and standardization across multiple OEM SCADA systems and large-scale CMAS platforms.
2. Driving real-time, high-quality data availability despite communication disruptions and dynamic site conditions.
3. Balancing system scalability, stability, and rapid issue resolution in a growing renewable portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Engineering (Master’s preferred).
 15–18 years of experience in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind).
 Strong expertise in CMAS platforms, performance analytics, and data governance (must-have).
 Proven experience in managing SCADA systems, integrations, and communication protocols.
 Demonstrated leadership in portfolio performance optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
 Strong stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.

Success Metrics
 Improvement in portfolio PR, availability, and loss reduction.
 High CMAS data accuracy and system reliability.
 Reduction in SCADA downtime and data gaps.
 Faster decision-making through advanced analytics and dashboards.
 Successful implementation of digital monitoring and automation initiatives.
