Asst/Deputy Manager Procurement – Electrical (Solar Energy Projects)- Mumbai

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Work Order closure of Ac Dc Works, Periphery Lightening, Switchyard ETC, Cable Trenching, ETC of Electrical equipment, etc. any other activities related to electricaworks.
• Formulate Service Procurement Strategies for respective Works Packages. Manage entire Procure-to-Pay Process – Prepare and Release RFP, Obtain Quotes, Negotiate, Prepare Techno-commercial Evaluation and Comparison Statement, Recommendation, Note for Approval, Work Order Preparation & Closure.
• To monitor Budget v/s Actual expense and circulate MIS regularly for monitoring of service procurement activities and sharing the same with senior management
• Settle issues with Contractor viz. payment reconciliation, debit note, implementation of penalty clauses, risk purchase clauses etc.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Projects, Finance & Accounts, and Construction teams to understand cost targets, project timelines, compliance aspects and related constraints
• Identification of New Contractors, Capability Building, Contractor Relationship Management and Development Action Plan and implementation of industry good practices
• Exercise Cost Breakdown Analysis, Zero-based Costing & Activity-based-Costing (ABC) for Cable laying of multiple sizes, Erection of inverter, transformers, IDT, cable trenching MMS and Module installation etc.
• Contractor’s Issue / Query Resolution through coordination with Internal Stakeholders
• Ensure Timely Work Completion through Expediting and Follow-up efforts
• Ensure Procurement Policy Compliance by maintaining documentation and compliance wrt. audit requirements.
• Strategic Procurement & Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for Service Procurement of Civil activities, ensuring cost optimization, quality, and timely delivery.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to secure the best value and mitigate risks.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination between procurement, D&E, and Project execution.
• Quality Assurance & Labor Compliance: Work closely with the Project and quality teams to ensure all Vendors working at site with quality and meeting labor compliances.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and emerging technologies to drive cost savings and process improvements.
• Risk Management: Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Budget & Cost Control: Optimize procurement costs within budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities align with environmental regulations and sustainability goals in the renewable energy sector.
