Functional Support Consultant (Dty Mgr) Capital Markets, Mumbai

- Techno-functional role: Technical support experience in capital markets domain along with good functional understating of capital markets jargon/terminology, knowledge of how the application/product works.
- Any technical support experience will not work. It has to be support experience around SQL and server side scripting, commands on Linux.

 

 

• Prior experience in Capital markets or Treasury domains.
• Basic understanding of Derivatives markets.
• IT Business Analysis / Functional Testing / Functional Support for applications / platforms servicing the above domain
• Basic knowledge of SQL and backend script and command executions on Linux servers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Functional Competencies:

• Good knowledge of capital markets.
• Understanding of Derivatives products.

Job Purpose:

 

The main requirement of a functional support consultant in this project will be to provide support to end users on the integrated solution providing valuation, margining, risk analytics and collateral management for OTC Derivatives products.

 

Area of Operations

 

1. Functional support to business department in terms of

• Product development and configuration
• Performance of UAT
• Data and error analysis

2. Level 1 technical support such as

• Execution of backend scripts on linux servers to perform DML operations, application server start and stop, other application specific processes, etc.
• Execution of database queries/scripts to provide required data to business department, to perform DML

Key Responsibility

 

1. Understanding the business requirement and contributing towards product development.
2. Production configuration in consultation with business department and / or the product vendor.
3. Functional and interface testing, also involving preparation of test plan and test scenarios.
4. Work closely with business department and application development vendor to meet the requirements.
5. Providing Level 1 Support to the application including provision of workaround solutions with due approvals as per process. Escalation of issues to Product Vendor Support (Level 2  operations, etc. support)

• Analysis of application logs.
• Data reconciliation and analysis using Excel or SQL queries.

• Should be a good team player and take responsibility for the work assigned.
• Should be interested in enhancing business knowledge and demonstrate how they may be beneficial to the project.
