Assistant General Manager – Lead – IT Procurement Mumbai

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s procurement of information technology resources and
services. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and the acquisition of IT
goods and services to meet the company’s objectives and budgetary requirements.

Strategic Sourcing:
o Develop and implement strategies for procuring IT equipment and services.
o Identify potential vendors and partners through research and networking.
o Evaluate proposals and bids to ensure they meet technical and budgetary requirements.
• Vendor Management:
o Build and maintain relationships with key IT vendors and service providers.
o Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
o Manage vendor contracts and renewals, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
• Contract Negotiation:
o Lead negotiations with vendors to secure cost-effective contracts.
o Review and approve purchasing agreements with legal and financial accuracy.
o Ensure contracts align with company policies and IT standards.
• Budget Management:
o Oversee the IT procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
o Forecast future IT needs and budget requirements.
o Report on procurement spending and savings to senior management.
o MIS reporting, budget utilization, tracking and IT spend analysis
o Analysis of invoice aging summary to request fund allocation to finance
• Policy and Compliance:
o Develop and enforce IT procurement policies and procedures.
o Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards.
o Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in IT procurement.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor the IT procurement team.
o Set clear team goals and performance metrics.
