Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Head of NOC will oversee the end-to-end operations of the Network Operations Center, ensuring high network availability, performance, and reliability for an ISP/Telecom company. This leadership role involves managing NOC staff, optimizing operational processes, and implementing best practices to minimize downtime and rapidly resolve network issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • NOC Management: Lead NOC team operations, ensuring 24/7 monitoring and incident management for network infrastructure.
  • Network Performance & Uptime: Maintain optimal network uptime and troubleshoot complex issues promptly, minimizing service interruptions.
  • Incident Response & Escalation: Develop and enforce incident response protocols, handle escalations, and communicate with key stakeholders during outages.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and improve SOPs, monitoring tools, and automation processes to increase efficiency and response times.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and develop the NOC team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed for peak performance.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvement opportunities for executive review.
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical: Strong understanding of telecom networks, protocols (e.g., MPLS, BGP, SD-WAN), and NOC best practices.
  • Experience: 15+ years in network operations, with at least 3 years in a management role within ISP/Telecom.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading NOC teams, setting operational standards, and managing incident escalations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, IT, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL) are advantageous.

This role is ideal for an experienced, proactive leader who can drive high availability and seamless network operations in a dynamic ISP/Telecom environment.
