Job Title: Senior Technology Business Analyst

Role Summary:

The Senior Technology Business Analyst will act as a liaison between the Asset Management business and technology teams to drive successful delivery of digital solutions and process enhancements. The individual will be responsible for gathering and analysing requirements, leading solution design, and ensuring that technology projects align with business strategies within the AMC domain. This includes working closely with fund managers, portfolio managers,
operations, risk, and compliance teams to understand business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications, and managing the full project lifecycle. 

You will be responsible for:

 Collaborate with key stakeholders in the AMC domain to gather detailed business requirements.
 Document requirements using methodologies such as Use Cases, User Stories, Functional Specifications, etc.
 Analyse existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
 Work with technical teams (developers, architects) to design solutions that meet business requirements.
 Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT teams.
 Create wireframes, process flows, and other artifacts to communicate business needs.
 Support project delivery by ensuring that business requirements are met throughoutthe development lifecycle.
 Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful sign-off.
 Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and status updates to stakeholders.
 Build strong relationships with fund managers, traders, risk teams, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs.
 Serve as a trusted advisor to the business for all technology-related inquiries.
 Communicate technical solutions in a clear, concise manner that business stakeholders can understand.
 Support the analysis of large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements.
 Work on reporting tools or systems such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL queries for AMC-related KPIs.
 Work closely with legal and compliance teams to incorporate compliance-driven requirements.
 Keep abreast of industry trends, particularly in FinTech, digital transformation, and technology within the asset management industry.
 Identify new technologies and innovations that could enhance AMC operations or product offerings.
 Provide training and support to end-users for new systems and solutions.
 Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during project rollouts.

he Experience you bring:
 Strong understanding of the Asset Management industry, including investment products (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs), portfolio management, risk management, and compliance.
 Knowledge of front, middle, and back-office processes within an AMC.
 Proficiency in business analysis techniques and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
 Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and writing functional/technical specifications.
 Familiarity with key technologies and platforms used in the AMC domain (e.g., Bloomberg, SQL, APIs, etc.).
 Experience in systems integrations, data management, and reporting solutions.
 Strong experience in managing technology projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
 Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Microsoft Project, or other PM tools.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Ability to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
 Ability to perform complex data analysis, spot trends, and provide actionable insights.
 Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve complex business problems using technology solutions.

Qualifications and  Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
 Preferred: MBA or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CBAP).
 Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a business analysis role within the financial services industry, preferably in asset management.
