Deputy Manager Safety, Security and Sustainability Mumbai

Job Description:

A Safety, Security, and Sustainability Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organization
operates safely, securely, and sustainably. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership
skills, and the ability to work across various departments responsibly.

Safety Responsibilities:
 Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and
conducting risk assessments to mitigate them
 Safety Training: Providing training to employees on safety policies, regulations, and procedures
 Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant safety
regulations and standards
 Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents and incidents to determine their causes and
prevent future occurrences
 Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in accordance with regulations.
 Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified issues promptly.
 Create and ensure weather proof measures are implemented and timely executed
 Conduct mock fire drills and training sessions for employees. (min once in a year)

Security Responsibilities:
 Security Policy Development: Creating and implementing security policies and procedures to
safeguard the office assets, premises and personnel
 Emergency Preparedness: Developing and managing emergency response plans to handle
potential security threats
 Surveillance and Monitoring: Overseeing security systems and access control of personnel to
ensure the safety of the organization
 Develop and maintain emergency response plans (ERP and ERT) for the office
 Incident Response: Leading the response to security incidents and coordinating with law
enforcement as necessary
 Setup Security Control Room for central monitoring and control.
 Conduct Risk assessment exercises
 Advise and instruct on various security related topics
 Enforce preventative measures

Sustainability Responsibilities:

 Sustainability Strategy Development:
 Guide efforts to become more environmentally, socially, and economically responsible
 Implement and promote environmentally sustainable practices within the office
 Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste reduction and promote
sustainability
 Identify areas for improvement and set measurable targets
 Regulatory Compliance: Keeping abreast of environmental regulations and ensuring the
organization meets or exceeds these standards
 Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating and coordinating with internal and external
stakeholders to promote sustainability efforts; raise awareness about sustainability initiatives,
gathering input, and fostering collaboration
 Data Management and Reporting: Monitoring sustainability metrics and compiling reports for
senior management
