About Role:

We are looking for a results-oriented Sales professional to spearhead business development for industrial/process Automation Solutions, Spares, Specialty Chemicals, and Consumables specifically for Industrial Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, proven sales acumen, and the ability to cultivate long-term client relationships across diverse industries including manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, food & beverages, and chemicals.

BE / B Tech - Electrical / Instrumentation

 Minimum 5-7 years’ relevant experience in Sales for Industrial Automation, Spares, and Specialty Chemicals, for Water/Wastewater treatment plants

 Proven experience in digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives

Key Skills Required: Areas of expertise / skills

 Technical Knowledge:

o In-depth understanding of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, robotics, IIoT) and their application in water and wastewater treatment.
o Familiarity with spares, specialty chemicals, and consumables essential to the operation and maintenance of industrial water and wastewater treatment plants.

 Sales Strategy & Execution: Ability to formulate and implement sales strategies targeted at diverse industrial sectors.
 Solution Selling: Skilled at diagnosing customer pain points and recommending customized automation solutions
 Client Relationship Management: Strong ability to build, manage, and sustain relationships with Plant Managers, Operations Heads, and Procurement teams.
 Communication & Presentation: Effective at delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and value propositions.
 CRM & Reporting:

o Proficient in using CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) for accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
o Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular updates to leadership.

Position Details

Key Accountabilities: List the key areas of responsibility

 Business Development and Achieving Sales Targets:

o Drive business development in the Water & Wastewater treatment sector across industries including manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, food & beverages, and chemicals
o Drive sales growth by actively promoting automation solutions, spares, specialty chemicals, and consumables for industrial water and wastewater treatment plants as per business targets
o Deliver committed sales targets defined quarterly and annually through proactive client engagement and pipeline management.

 Client Engagement and Internal Collaboration:

o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as Plant Managers, Heads of Operations, and Procurement Leads.
o Conduct technical demos and impactful presentations that highlight remote monitoring, automation capabilities, and chemical effectiveness.
o Collaborate with technical teams to design and propose customized automation and chemical solutions that address client-specific challenges.

 Solution Selling:

o Identify client challenges and recommend customized automation solutions (e.g., PLC, SCADA, DCS, robotics, IIoT)
o Identify opportunities to cross-sell related products including spares, chemicals, and consumables and expand business within existing accounts.

 Market Intelligence & Reporting: Collect market and competitor information, monitor industry trends, and provide timely sales reports and forecasts to management.
 Brand Promotion & Representation: Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings to enhance market presence and generate leads.
