Job Description:

To manage procurement of non-project (indirect) materials and services including corporate purchases, and services, ensuring cost efficiency, timely availability, and operational continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Operations

 

  • Execute end-to-end procurement:
  • PR → RFQ → Bid evaluation → Negotiation → PO issuance
  • Handle categories:
  • Consumables (PPE, Stationary )
  • IT, admin, facility & service contracts
  • Ensure timely procurement to avoid operational disruptions

 

 
2. Techno-Commercial Evaluation

 

  • Conduct techno-commercial bid evaluations
  • Compare:
  • Technical specifications compliance
  • Pricing, taxes, logistics cost
  • Delivery timelines and warranty terms
  • AMC
  • Prepare comparative statements (CS) and recommendations

 

 
3. Cost Optimization & Negotiation

 

  • Drive cost savings through:
  • Competitive bidding
  • Vendor negotiations
  • Alternate sourcing
  • Develop rate contracts / framework agreements
  • Track and deliver annual savings targets

 

 
4. Vendor Management

 

  • Identify and onboard vendors
  • Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL)
  • Monitor vendor KPIs:
  • On-time delivery
  • Quality performance
  • Develop backup vendors for critical categories

 

 
5. Inventory & Demand Coordination

 

  • Work with O&M / user teams to:
  • Forecast demand
  • Identify critical spares
  • Support inventory optimization:
  • Minimize excess inventory
  • Avoid stockouts

 

 
6. Contract & Service Procurement

 

  • Manage:
  • AMC / service contracts
  • Facility management contracts/ Security services / manpower services
  • Ensure clear scope, deliverables, SLAs, and penalties
